Adopting a popular, easy-to-use form factor, the Forza 200 LED Monolight from NanLite has a daylight color temperature of 5600K with a high CRI/TLCI of 98/95 indicating advanced accuracy in color rendition. The 31 x 21 x 11.5 cm fixture weighs just 1.7 kg , making it a welcome addition to your kit, while its reflector allows it to output 34,890 lux at 100 cm .
The Forza 200 is cooled by a quiet fan that can be turned off – a real asset in sound-sensitive environments. It’s also dimmable from 0 to 100% and while you can adjust the light intensity locally on the fixture, you can also do it remotely from a console via DMX, or wirelessly from an optional transmitter thanks to the head’s built-in 2.4 GHz technology. Another great feature is its 11 special effects, including INT Loop, Flash, Pulse, Storm, TV, Paparazzi, Candle/Fire, Bad Bulb, Fireworks, Explosion, and Welding.
Another benefit is the Forza 200’s AC/DC power options. The light is ready for worldwide use thanks to its 110 to 240 VAC power supply, but it can also run on optional 14.8V V-mount batteries when mains current is unavailable. The Forza 200 ships with a yoke and 5/8″ receiver that accepts industry-standard light stands.
Ideal for portraits and interviews, the 60 cm Forza 60 Softbox from Nanlite is a 16-sided light-modifier creating focused and soft light with punchy and crisp edges. This unique shape lends dimension and detail to your subject as well as natural-looking catchlights in their eyes, while the parabolic design of the modifier renders significant falloff at the edge of the subject for an enhanced degree of directional control, decreased spill light, and easy feathering. For additional dramatic control, the modifier also accepts separately purchased grids.
The Smooth-4 Smartphone Stabilizer from Zhiyun-Tech, in black, has been designed to provide cine-style functions to content creators using their mobile phones for video capture. When used with the free, downloadable ZY Play app, the control panel enables Android and iOS users to control both gimbal and smartphone camera functions such as focus, zoom, time-lapse, and still photo settings. The Smooth-4’s controls reduce the need to touch your phone’s screen, thereby minimizing unintended jostling while recording. A dedicated “Vertigo” function emulates the perspective-shifting, dolly/zoom effect dear to many filmmakers. Compared to the ZT Smooth-3, the Smooth-4’s controls are more ergonomically laid out and better labeled with icons. The Smooth-4 also has a significantly larger focus/zoom wheel, a PhoneGo mode for quickly grabbing the action, multiple time-lapse functions, and object tracking. With the ability to support smartphones weighing up to 7.4 oz and measuring up to 3.35″ high, the Smooth-4 is compatible with almost any mobile phone.
In a nod to its filmmaker-centric design, the Smooth-4’s large focus wheel even has a witness mark that can be lined up to focus marks you place on its textured band. The wheel is located on the left side of the handgrip, with a button placed to its lower right that lets you toggle between focus and zoom functions, with a button light indicating zoom mode. Scroll and press to select settings with the central Menu/Return button, or choose the Parameter Display button to switch between close shooting, still photo, and full-auto modes. The Smooth-4 offers 300° of pan and 240° of tilt and roll for nimbly capturing your action shots, or for smoothly gliding along more tranquil scenes. Choose between Pan-Following, Locking, Full-Follow, or the full-speed PhoneGo mode to adjust your level of axis control while shooting.
Powered by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, the Smooth-4 features a maximum runtime of up to 12 hours. A USB Type-C port on the handgrip enables you to add a separately available power pack to extend your shooting time even further. An LED display indicates your remaining power, and an output port enables you to charge your phone while shooting with the stabilizer. The Zhiyun-Tech Smooth-4 Smartphone Stabilizer includes a mini tripod, carrying case, and a USB cable. A single 1/4″-20 female thread on the handgrip bottom can be used to mount the stabilizer onto the included tripod or other support, or to attach a compatible accessory.
The Nanlink WS-RC-C1 Remote control allows you to remotely adjust CCT colour and brightness on any Nanlite or Nanlux lights which have built-in wireless. See the compatibility list below.
For fixtures that have the feature, the WS-RC-C1 remote can also adjust hard and soft quality of light, RGB hue, and saturation.
