Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K
Blackmagic Design ups the ante in compact cine-style capture with their Super 35 sensor Pocket Cinema Camera 6K. Not only can the BMPCC 6K record up to 50 fps 6144 x 3456 video, but in a boon to lens connoisseurs everywhere, it features an active Canon EF mount, letting users take advantage of the expansive array of EF/EF-S–mount lenses available.
Turn to the BMPCC 6K to turn one frame into two by cropping a second shot from one frame, to upscale to 8K, or to simply capture rich, detailed footage with your favorite EF/EF-S–mount lens. The same internal color processing makes it easy to intercut BMPCC 6K with BMPCC 4K footage. Record using the internal CFast 2.0 and SD/UHS-II card slots or output via the USB-C port to capture longer clips to an external drive. The BMPCC 6K includes a DaVinci Resolve Studio license and supports Blackmagic Raw capture from the sensor. Using the Raw format with the sensor’s metadata simplifies editing to suit any project and makes editing easier with DaVinci Resolve.
The compact BMPCC 6K retains the familiar controls and menu layout of the 4K version in a minimally deeper form to accommodate the EF lens mount. Features such as ISO support up to 25,600, 13 stops of dynamic range, 1920 x 1080 monitor output, and a bright 1920 x 1080 touchscreen 5″ LCD are carried through from the BMPCC 4K as well. Professional audio support includes a mini XLR input with phantom +48V power and four built-in mics. Whether you’re shooting an indie film, wildlife, or fashion, the BMPCC 6K’s compact form is less intrusive than larger cameras, lending itself to more intimate setups. The BMPCC 6K is fashioned from a carbon fiber polycarbonate composite that is both lightweight and durable.
Additional pro features include lens metadata support, 3D LUT application for both monitoring and recording, up to 21.2MP still image capture, and a multifunction grip that enables single-handed operation. Sync multiple cameras for a concert, event, or other multicamera shoots by linking an external timecode generator to the BMPCC 6K’s internal timecode generator (accessed via the 3.5mm audio port). Then save valuable time by using Resolve 16.1 to automatically sync your multicamera shots in post.
In addition to the DaVinci Resolve Studio activation key, the BMPCC 6K comes with a power supply offering simultaneous battery charging, an LP-E6 battery, a lens port cap, and a camera strap.

Video and control is via the HDMI connection, which is available as soon as you plug the cameras in. The record light becomes a tally light so you can see which camera is on air! The ATEM Software Control camera page has a camera control unit (CCU) style interface for adjusting and matching your cameras. Move the CCU control vertically for iris and left to right to adjust black level. It’s the same as a broadcast CCU! Nikon Z 6 Mirrorless Camera with 24-70mm Lens
Part of Nikon‘s next step in their imaging journey, the Z 6 Mirrorless Camera is positioned as the “all-arounder” within the new Z System. Beginning with the Z Mount itself, a large-diameter design with a short 16mm flange distance allows Nikon to create compact, yet powerful cameras and develop more advanced optics. The Z 6 is among the first in the series, and features a high-performing FX-format 24.5MP BSI CMOS sensor and the EXPEED 6 Image Processing Engine delivering outstanding image quality and speed with a native sensitivity range of ISO 100-51200.
On the sensor you will find an advanced phase-detect autofocus system using 273 points covering 90% of the image area, and the sensor features 5-axis Vibration Reduction technology for stabilized photos and video regardless of the lens used. This advanced hybrid AF system will also benefit video. The Z 6 features UHD 4K recording at up to 30p and can use the N-Log gamma profile along with the camera’s 10-bit HDMI output to create cinema-quality video.
As with many mirrorless systems, the Z Series boasts a much more compact form factor than its DSLR counterparts. The Z 6 is no exception with its slimmed down design and lighter build, though it maintains the weather sealing and ergonomics for which Nikon is known. The camera features multiple displays and screens for ease of use, including a 0.80x 3.6m-dot EVF with NIKKOR optics and a Fluorine coating, ensuring clear viewing. The rear of the camera is equipped with a 3.2″ 2.1m-dot tilting touchscreen LCD while the top offers a dot-matrix OLED for quickly checking settings. Additionally, the body is equipped with both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The Blackmagic Design UltraStudio Mini Monitor Playback Device is a very interesting and a highly useful device that Blackmagic has put out there. It is the “playback” aspect of any Blackmagic capture and playback device (and of any capture and playback device in general).Where a capture and playback device, such as the UltraStudio 3D or the Intensity Extreme, captures video from a camera, transfers it to a computer, and additionally lets you output the video to a display other than that of your computer’s, UltraStudio Mini Monitor only performs the last of these functions, also referred to as “playback.” The point of outputting to a separate display is to output to a top-resolution display, the kind that your computer’s display likely isn’t, the kind that’ll give you the best representation of your footage, the kind that’ll let you get as precise as possible in color-grading, perhaps the kind that has features like Waveform. Mini Monitor connects to your computer by Thunderbolt and outputs to a monitor by either HDMI or SDI. (You’ll need a Thunderbolt-equipped computer, such as any Mac.)
So, if you want to color grade on a top-resolution monitor, and you don’t need the other characteristics of a capture and playback device, then UltraStudio Mini Monitor is all you need and it comes at a small portion of the cost of an average capture and playback device (also known as an I/O device).

Canon EOS C300 MK III
Create cinema-quality productions with the Canon EOS C300 Mark III Digital Cinema Camera, which features a Super 35mm Dual Gain Output sensor with up to 16 stops of high dynamic range capability for superior HDR recording and low noise. The EF lens mount offers compatibility not only with Canon’s existing broad range of DSLR lenses but also with their line of EF-mount cinema prime, zooms, and even 2.0 and 1.33 anamorphic lenses. The mount is also interchangeable with a separately available PL mount by the end user.
The sensor is paired with the Canon DiGIC DV7 image processor, which uses the sensor’s raw information and processes it for various applications such as high frame rate recording, raw recording, HDR-PQ output, electronic image stabilization (EIS), and proxy recording. The camera records up to DCI 4K resolution video to dual CFexpress cards, and an SD card slot is available to record additional images. High frame rates up to 120 fps can be recorded in 4K raw, and up to 180 fps in 2K cropped mode. Canon’s Cinema RAW Light and XF-AVC recording formats are supported, providing DCI 4K images with a 10-bit, 4:2:2 Long GOP codec. Proxy recording is also supported, which allows a significant boost to your post-production speed.
For more flexibility during post-production, the camera also offers Canon’s Log 2 and Log 3 gamma modes, which results in excellent tonal reproduction in the highlight and low-light regions of an image, and an expanded dynamic range. The C100 Mark II also supports custom user LUTs that can be utilized on monitors, the LCD, or viewfinder to ensure the most accurate color. Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF (autofocus) support allows you to not only provide accurate autofocus, but it also features touch AF and face detection.
The camera features up to 12G-SDI output over a single BNC cable, timecode I/O, and genlock input BNCs. It supports up to 4-channel audio using the internal mic, mini-mic input, and XLR ports, and an expansion unit can be added to support up to four XLR inputs. The body has a modular design that can either be stripped down completely or be built up using the included handle, 4.3″ rotating touchscreen LCD unit with full controls, grip, and thumb rest.
